A flight of F-17M Visigoth patrol over Mar del Topaz.
These units fly from a combined ANG/Reserve Airforce Unit, the “Sun Vultures.” Currently, the force structure of the Raehillean Airforce is geared towards homeland defense more than expeditionary missions. As a result, aircraft colors are dependent to their squadron's mission and home base. Units based out of Topaz and Ciudad de la Oros patrol large bodies of water, with a two tone blue scheme. Expeditionary units also use this scheme, for air superiority missions. Units that defend Raehill, especially near areas of high air traffic, use the hi-visibility white scheme. There is talk of standardizing all aircraft with the “Grey Ghost” scheme used on the newer F-29 Egrets, though those plans have not yet materialized.
